Well, if the blur makes things more realistic, I guess it's just an additional detail. The other option is learning from this and remembering that if the final rendition will be blurry, one can do less detail to begin with. Or would that not look right?

Anyway, very nice work. There's still plenty of detail to see, and everything looks great. Pretty well-done rain effect, too.
